Big Red turns 7

Can't believe it is that time of year again...Rhys' birthday already! We took him & some buddies bowling yesterday. Then today was Polar Express day, so he got to wear his PJs & take his blanket to school! Later we surprised him with a bike for his birthday. It was a great day, but part of me is sad to know that another year has flown by. I'm excited to see what he'll do this year!

Christmas Tree Huntin'

I love choosing the Christmas tree. Jake knows to follow behind, and hold on to "maybes". The boys give me suggestions, but they haven't learned that picking a tree is Mom's job. We have so much fun going out to the tree farm. Ethan did reach an important milestone this year...he got to cut down Aunt Mel's tree!

Aunt Mel is as tall as a Christmas Tree!

Lucy & the Snowman

A while back Uncle Dave bought the kids a Snowman that sings "I'm Gonna Lasso Santa Claus". The boys love it, and Lucy adores it. She plays that thing a billion times a day!! I caught her sneaking up on it....

Its Getting Chilly!!

Had to bust out the coats. Everyone is in a tizzy because we have a 60% chance of snow tomorrow. I warned the boys not to get too excited yet. I fully believe all these over excited people are jinxing it. Trying to get ready for Christmas, and I can't believe we have 4 birthdays coming up!!! Who are these crazy people that keep having kids in December? Hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the holiday!

The Sundquists Invade Texas

The Sundquist Family came for a week long visit, and we had a blast! We did a ton of stuff: golf, a Spurs game, parks, BBQ, shopping, and lots of hanging out. We had a FANTASTIC time! Thanksgiving Day we had a few extra guests, and stuffed ourselves on all the trimmings then dozed in front of the UT/A&M game. It was a great day. Thanks for coming Sundquists, we missed you as soon as you drove off!

Chores

Who says chores have to be boring?

Rhys the Indian

The 1st graders had their musical performance this week. Rhys was in the front row, and a bit of a distraction! I really love when the kids have performances. I just wish Rhys would learn the words if he is going to stand in front!

Ye Olde Ren Fair

On Sunday we hooked up with the Schneider family, Oma & Melanie to check out the Ren Fair. It was really fun. The costumes, games, and shows were a blast. The only distraction were the super self confident women that wore costumes that were way too small...seriously everyone should have a friend that will tell them, "That is not the outfit for you; lets go with something with more material." Just saying. Besides that it was AWESOME!

I am sure Robin Hood never wore a baby on his back.

Check out the dragon face paint.

John & Ethan decided to do some high flying stunts!

Who are these hobbits and when did they hook up with Little Red Riding Hood?

Caught You Lucy!!

Lucy's new favorite thing is to climb up onto the furniture. I was upstairs putting away laundry, and caught her in action. I should say this is after she got into the dog's arthritis medicine, and I had to make a call to poison control. Nothing makes you feel like a better parent then having to call poison control and telling them that your child ingested dog medicine!! Thankfully no ill side effects; on the plus side her joints should feel great!

Halloween

For Halloween we had Dr. Doofenschmertz (mad scientist from Phineas & Ferb), a Space Pirate, and a Dragon! It was a successful candy night for all!

Flag Football

This was our first season playing flag football, and we had a blast! The boys really had a good time, and learned a lot. Saturday was their playoff games. Ethan's team played a great game, but lost. Rhys' team went all the way to the "Superbowl" before they were defeated. It was a great day, and a lot more fun to watch than soccer! So as requested (here you go Grandpa), here are some fine football moments!

Lucy didn't find the chain gang too exciting!
