It took a while, but my IT guy finally figured out how to import movies off of my camera! Enjoy the show!

Crazy Baby Hair
Today marks the anniversary of Lucy's homecoming. After so many false promises, we thought she would never make it home. It was such a relief on our hearts when she finally made it through our door. And now she is causing lots of trouble. She is the fastest crawler, and nothing is safe! Besides that all is status quo in the Forbes house. Just school, sports, and the ever changing weather. Hope that everyone else is having a quiet winter too!Thursday, January 15, 2009
Disaster
Woke up this morning, and was going to make the kids some hot chocolate. I went to punch in the minutes on the microwave and noticed that the screen was dead. Had my handy dandy P.E take a look at it, and he declared it "dead". Rhys instantly panicked. He said, somewhat hysterically, "How will we cook our food?" I pointed to the oven. He gave me a blank stare and repeated, a little more loudly, "How will we cook our food?" I then explained that while living in Tigard we never owned a microwave. He could not wrap his brain around that. I then told him that the oven/stove can cook a lot of things. He thought for a minute and then replied, "We will never get to eat our favorite macaroni and cheese! Mom cooks it in the microwave!" I told him to relax and that I could also cook it in the oven. He looked skeptical, and is waiting to see how dinner turns out. Rhys is alot like Dagwood, always thinking with his stomach! Let's hope that dinner meets up to his standards.

Resolution
I have been thinking about my New Year's resolution, and not really coming up with anything. I mean there are the usual things: get rid of the fatness, clutter, and foul f-ing language. However, a friend of mine recently shared a tragedy with me that brought everything back into focus. I want to squeeze as much life out of my day as humanly possible. I want to enjoy all the things that encompass having kids: the smiles, the high blood pressure, the laughter, the noise, the locking myself in the bathroom, and yes even the bickering. I can enjoy all that while being chubby and messy. I mean I can always loose weight and clean; however, the kids will not always be here under my roof, wanting to hang out with me. So that is it. I am going to revel in the craziness that is my life.

It was a drive-by stamping!
What's that Lucy?
I know. It IS so quiet here today. All the boys have gone back to school or work. Now what? Now Lucy gets to touch ALL of their stuff, and they can't do anything about it! Heehee
